Welcome to Gear Up 4 Nature.com
Posted On 2007-04-19 , 9:20 PM
Gear up 4 nature.com was built on the foundation that all persons can benefit from the beauty, tranquility, and solitude of the great outdoors. You can be a novice or an avid outdoor enthusiast. Either or requires preparedness with equipment, gear and the right apparel, some skill and being smart. Gear up 4 nature was created to sell equipment, outerwear and apparel that are necessary for your nature experience. And because I love a good deal I feature distributors selling optimum performance gear at bargain deals . So be sure to check out the bargain outfitters section.
I was never raised in the mountains. As a matter of fact, as a kid, the closest I ever got to the backcountry was my back yard (no joke). However for the past 15 years I have lived in the Rocky Mountains, Cascade Mountains and now in the Sierra Nevadas. Knowing how fortunate I am, I get out every day in some fashion: snowshoe, telemark ski, snowboard, hike, trail run, and nordic ski. Half of the days of the week are doing these sports with my children (who are 4 and almost 2) and our canine member, JoJo who is our daily personal trainer and reminds us "it's time". We have insisted that our children be involved in our outdoor excursions, which is why I featured Kids in the Outdoors. My children have reminded me that the achievement of learning a new sport far outweighs the aches, pains and inconveniences. Because of them I am learning how to Telemark ski and loving it! So check out my section on Telemark skiing and consider trying a new sport for yourself. You're never too old!
I also featured means to get to nature; some of which are long-term investments, since nature isn't going anywhere. Check out the Coleman Pop up Camper and the Lance Truck Camper. Lastly, I featured the "what will they think of next" products. I find these items so cool that they'll add the "wow" to your nature experience.
So gear up 4 nature and get out there. You're worth it.
(P.S. Please let me know of any reviews or new products that you'd like to see featured on this site). This site is being updated regularly so please revisit for new gear and great deals.
